1. Overview

Teacher Assistant is an educational productivity app provided by Tahseen Educational Platform. The app is designed to help teachers organize classrooms, students, attendance, behavior records, homework, assessments, notifications, professional portfolio material, imported files, exported PDFs, and related school work.

This policy explains how the app handles information entered by the user and information required to operate app features such as iCloud sync, push notifications, reference content, and subscriptions. The app is built around the principle that teacher operational data belongs to the user and must be handled with confidentiality.

2. Information You Enter

The app may store information you choose to add, including teacher profile details, school and administration information, class names, student names, student identifiers, student emails if entered, subjects, schedules, attendance records, participation, homework, grades, assessments, behavioral notes, referrals, treatment plans, student action logs, monitoring periods, professional portfolio entries, generated tests, archived academic years, and files imported into or created by the app.

The app may also store PDFs, images, thumbnails, report metadata, document names, dates, file categories, and other content needed to show saved files, exported reports, student portfolios, certificates, workshop records, subject plans, excuses, grade sheets, and similar documents.

3. Local Storage and iCloud

Core teacher workspace data is stored locally on the device using Apple data storage technologies and may sync through the user’s private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit when iCloud is available and configured. This includes classroom records and related teacher workflow data. Apple’s iCloud terms, privacy practices, storage limits, and account settings also apply to data synchronized through iCloud.

Some app data is kept locally on the device, such as local state, preferences, sync diagnostics, derived caches, and certain saved file references. Deleting the app, disabling iCloud, changing Apple ID settings, or removing app data may affect availability, recovery, or synchronization of this information.

4. Reference Content and Supabase Services

The app may connect to backend services to retrieve reference or supporting content such as academic calendar templates, subject lists, lesson-plan references, and other educational reference material. These services are not intended to be the primary source of truth for your students, classes, attendance, behavior, assessments, or private operational records.

If push notifications are enabled, the app may send installation metadata to the notification service, including an installation identifier, device push token, platform, app version, build number, locale, time zone, notification status, and last-seen timestamp. Device tokens may be stored in the Keychain on the device.

5. Subscriptions and App Store Purchases

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The app receives entitlement status needed to unlock paid features, restore purchases, and apply subscription-related behavior. We do not receive full payment card details from Apple.

6. Files, Exports, and Sharing

Files generated or exported by the app, including PDFs and images, are user content. When you export, share, print, save, or send a file outside the app, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by iOS, Apple services, or third-party apps selected by you. You are responsible for reviewing exported documents before using or sharing them.

7. Permissions

The app may request notification permission so it can send reminders. Imported files may require document access through iOS file pickers. Based on the current core app features, the app does not require access to contacts, microphone, or precise location for normal operation. If future features require additional permissions, the app will request them through the iOS permission system.

8. Data Responsibility and Student Confidentiality

Because the app may contain student-related information, you must use it only where you have authority to do so and in compliance with school policies, employment obligations, education regulations, privacy laws, and professional confidentiality duties. Do not enter information you are not permitted to process, store, or share.

9. Security

The app uses Apple platform security features such as local device storage, Keychain storage for certain tokens, and iCloud/CloudKit where available. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple ID, passcode, backups, and exported files.

10. Retention, Access, and Deletion

Information remains available while it is stored in the app, on the device, in iCloud, or in backups controlled by the user. You may edit or delete records inside the app where the feature allows it, delete saved files, remove the app, manage iCloud storage, or disable notification permissions through iOS settings. Some deleted data may remain in device or iCloud backups for a period controlled by Apple or the user’s backup settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes, when legal requirements change, or when services are adjusted. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new update date.

Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Teacher Assistant, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all use of the app, including free features, paid features, local storage, iCloud sync, notifications, imported files, exported documents, and reference content.

2. Educational Use Only

The app is intended for lawful educational and administrative use by teachers and authorized education professionals. You must use the app in a manner consistent with applicable laws, school policies, employment duties, student privacy rules, professional ethics, and any instructions issued by your school or education authority.

3. User Responsibility for Data

You are solely responsible for the information you enter into the app, including student names, records, attendance, behavior notes, grades, referrals, treatment plans, uploaded or imported files, and any other personal or educational information. You represent that you have the authority and legal basis to process such information.

You must not enter, store, export, or share information that you are not permitted to handle. You must keep student information confidential and use only the minimum information necessary for legitimate educational purposes.

4. Responsibility for Exports and Generated Files

The app may generate PDFs, images, reports, certificates, referrals, treatment plans, grade sheets, portfolios, schedules, tests, forms, and other documents. All generated, exported, printed, shared, saved, or submitted files are your responsibility. You must review every file before relying on it, sending it, printing it, uploading it, or presenting it to a student, guardian, school, supervisor, or any third party.

The app is an organizational assistant. It does not replace your professional judgment, official school records, school policy, legal review, administrative approval, or any required human verification. You are responsible for correcting inaccurate data, removing inappropriate content, confirming calculations, and ensuring that exported files comply with the rules that apply to you.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use the app to violate privacy rights, disclose student information without authorization, discriminate, harass, bully, defame, falsify records, misrepresent official documents, bypass school procedures, perform unlawful monitoring, or process sensitive information beyond what is necessary and permitted.

6. Accuracy of Content and Features

We work to provide useful tools, templates, reference content, calculations, and export formats, but we do not guarantee that any generated text, form, calculation, plan, reminder, reference, schedule, or PDF is complete, accurate, current, suitable for your school, or accepted by any authority. You must verify all outputs before use.

7. iCloud, Apple, Supabase, and Third-Party Services

Some features depend on Apple services, including iCloud, CloudKit, APNs, StoreKit, App Store subscriptions, and iOS sharing tools. Some reference or notification features may depend on backend services such as Supabase. Availability, delivery, storage, sync, purchases, refunds, restoration, and account access may be affected by those services, network connectivity, device settings, account status, or service outages.

We are not responsible for failures, delays, data loss, sync conflicts, notification failures, subscription issues, or access interruptions caused by third-party services, user account settings, network problems, device storage, operating system limitations, or user actions.

8. Subscriptions, Renewals, and Refunds

Paid features may be offered through App Store subscriptions. Subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, trial handling, family sharing availability, and refunds are controlled by Apple and your App Store account settings. You are responsible for managing subscriptions through Apple. Restoring purchases requires access to the Apple ID used for the original purchase.

9. Your Content and Our Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you enter into the app. You grant the app the limited permission necessary to store, process, display, sync, export, and manage that content for app functionality. The app name, design, interface, software, templates, branding, and original materials provided by Tahseen Educational Platform remain our property or the property of our licensors.

10. Backups and Device Security

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups, protecting your device, securing your Apple ID, using a strong passcode, controlling who can access your device, and safely storing exported files. Deleting the app, removing iCloud data, disabling sync, changing devices, or sharing files externally may cause loss of access to content.

11. No Warranty

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, data recovery, legal compliance for your specific use, or acceptance of any generated document by your school or authority.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tahseen Educational Platform and its owners, developers, partners, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of files, rejected reports, incorrect exports, missed notifications, subscription issues, school disputes, disciplinary consequences, privacy incidents caused by user sharing, or reliance on app outputs without review.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, your entry or sharing of unauthorized data, your exported files, your submitted reports, or your breach of laws, school policies, confidentiality duties, or third-party rights.

14. Suspension and Changes

We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product changes, service availability, or misuse prevention. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing Principles

These terms should be interpreted in a manner that supports lawful educational use, protection of student privacy, respect for school authority, and responsible professional judgment by the user.
